This Is TWENTY
This piece follows the journey of those who struggle with body dysmorphia, eating disorders, anxiety, etc. and the struggles that they face within working through that in the dance world. Specifically, the song has a lyric in the chorus “we won’t be 21 again” that really speaks to the story of being trapped in your head. Despite being young and experiencing what are supposed to be the best years of our lives, we are constantly dealing with these issues that prevent us from living our best lives. The piece really shows us how beautiful our lives truly are and how being trapped in our heads is acting as a barrier from us reaching our full potential as dancers. Towards the end of the piece, we see the dancers breaking through their heads and we see them start to grow past all of these issues and insecurities that lay before them. Choreography: Andrew Clifton in collaboration -w- the dancers Cast: Taryn Baird, Maya Collie, Averil Dubois, Isabella Gerosa, Amélie Giusta, Alexis Goosens, Emily Gratton, Estella Haensel, Alycia Hebert, Lydia Hon, Norey Lau, Tianna Lyall, Shelby Nilsen, Alexandra Sabourin, Liyah Thomas-Simbulan, Thandi Noelle Strybos Mentor: Louis Laberge Cote Music: Amber Run Lighting Design: Evelyn Rensing Videography: Drew Berry

"When you are young they assume you know nothing" - Taylor Swift *This film was heavily inspired by Taylor Swift's eighth studio album "Folklore" and the trio of songs that portrayed the love triangle between Betty, James, and Augustine. This film is a fan film and I am in no way claiming this concept to be my own, just admiring my favourite artists work. Choreography & Direction: Andrew Clifton Cinematography & Videography: Natalie Turcotte Photography: Hannah Clifton Storyboard: Andrew Clifton Cast: Andrew Clifton, Estella Haensel, Shelby Nilsen Editing: Andrew Clifton Music: Taylor Swift A special thank you to Averil Dubois for being there during the beginning of this process

Umarmt
“We fall in and out of relationships, but we never lose the memories that come” Umarmt follows the different stories and interactions that one encounters within their relationships throughout life. We see the dancers weave in and out of each other just as people come into and out of each other's life. Think of the piece taking place in a circular motion, where one enters, shares, and then leaves the space, only to have imprinted and left their mark on another for the rest of that individual's life. Choreography & Direction: Andrew Clifton Cinematography & Videography: Emily Gratton Assistant Director: Averil Dubois Cast: Andrew Clifton, Norey Lau, Shelby Nilsen Editing: Andrew Clifton Music: Thomas Fehlmann

Do You Think I Have Forgotten
“Hold on and hope that we’ll find our way back in the end” Do You Think I Have Forgotten follows the story of two young adults who are both reminiscing on their young love and the time that they spent together. Although the relationship had its issues and they became hostile towards each other we see the good that they shared with each other. As they keep supporting each other we see Alex become wishful of the past and hopeful that one day they will find their way back to one another. Choreography & Direction: Andrew Clifton In Collaboration: Madison Guarino & Alexandra Sabourin Cinematography & Videography: Emily Gratton Assistant Director: Averil Dubois Cast: Andrew Clifton, Alexandra Sabourin Editing: Andrew Clifton Music: The 1975

And This Is Where I Lie
“It’s not so bad alone” And This Is Where I Lie follows the stories of all those who feel alone. But not in sincerity with a dismal counterpoint. It actually emphasizes the comfort and happiness that can stem from being alone and how self love and gratitude can be all one needs.
